Why some psychics tape their readings for clients

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

While some psychics do this, they are usually of the “old school” variety.

The reason they do this are three fold: 1) Skeptics were really getting down on psychics and their accuracy and goading them into taping their readings. They said: If they are so confident about their readings, why don’t they tape them? So clients started asking for taped readings and the psychics complied. 2) For a private session, it can benefit the seeker to have the session recorded so they may take action on their life but this is not necessary in a party event style reading situation. When it’s taped for a private session the seeker is mostly talking and self-analyzing as in tarot or psychic life coaching and finally 3) Psychics often charge more for the taping and do not guarantee the tape will work. In fact some psychics report the tape being completely unreadable due to spirit interference.

If a psychic chooses not to tape their reading, it doesn’t mean they don’t stand behind their reading. There are many reasons why they won’t want to tape their readings: 1. Censorship: They may feel uncomfortable and censor their readings due to self-consciousness or grey areas of topic. 2. Party Favour: They may not want the client to pass the tape around for others to listen to and joke about. 3. Intellectual Property: Some psychics don’t make much but their tips and insights are hugely valuable. Taping a psychic can hurt their current or future opportunities.

Skeptics were once powerful practicioners of the paranormal!

My belief (theory, hypothesis, opinion, etc.) is that diskeptics (scientific skeptics who disrespect the beliefs of others with degrading language and who want to disprove rather than prove the existence of paranormal activities) were, in a past life, very powerful magical and psychic beings who misused their gift and power.

Therefore, in this life they do not have the ability to use their gift and power or if they do they “out” themselves and yet they feel connected to the paranormal as if it should exist. This is why JackDirt’s comment “Believe me of all people who want to see God the most it is the skeptics.” on the Ordinary Mystic blog was cool to read and rang very true to me. 🙂

This lock on the skeptic’s previous power is a way to keep us safe from those which would harm us. So now they are left with an obsession of disqualifying that which they once did with ease. The universe rocks!

Also scientific skeptics (without the degrading language element) are an important balance in this world. What better punishment is it than for a skeptic that misused their abilities in a past life to not only NOT be able to use them in this life but to keep us safe from scam artists and others who would hurt us with paranormal or psychic ability?

I would not want to get rid of scientific skeptics unless humanity can be fully educated on how to distinguish between a fake and the real deal AND if professional readers were focused on social work and professional behaviour rather than just making a buck.

Of course, this theory is likely to be VERY laughable to a diskeptic and you know what — that’s the way it should be!! 😉

YouTube Video: The Five Normal Senses & The Five Psychic Senses Plus The Sixth or Rather Seventh Sense

Sunday, July 1st, 2007

THE PSYCHIC SENSE The general public is often familiar with the term psychic or clairvoyant; however, they may not be aware of what a psychic does or the different abilities of a psychic.Psychic is an umbrella term meaning an individual who uses one or more normal senses to an extended heightened degree beyond self. Psychic abilities are an extension of your own normal day-to-day sense abilities. The five normal senses are: seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching.

The five psychic senses are: clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairalience, clairgustance, and clairsentience.

And the sixth or rather seventh sense is claircognizance.
Clair is a suffix, in French, that means clearly.

  • Clairvoyant means clearly seeing.
  • Clairaudient means clearly hearer.
  • Clairalience means clearly smelling.
  • Clairgustance means clearly taste.
  • Clairsentient means clearly feeling or sensing.
  • Claircognizant means clearly knowing or understanding.

All these specific terms will be reviewed in another video.

YouTube Video: Reading Tools Like Tarot NOT Psychic

Reading Tools

Reading tools have NOTHING to do with being psychic; however, if you are psychic it creates a more intense session or reading. Tools are based on ancient or modern reading methods. The knowledge has been or is tested over a long period of time through keeping records of observations and accuracy.

Here are some reading tools…

  • Astrology
  • Numerology
  • Tarot Reading
  • Tea / Coffee Leaf Reading
  • I-Ching
  • Palm Reading
  • Runes
  • Handwriting Analysis

Learning these tools to a professional level takes time, patience, and dedication.

The choice of tool depends on interest and natural ability. For example, visual oriented people like learning Tarot and scientific oriented people often enjoy learning Astrology. People who have a connection to Nordic culture often like learning Runes and so on…
